Standard Message

Hi Experts,

I have a wda Screen on which i have an ALV. One of the column in the alv is a Quantity field on which user can enter only numeric characters, when we try to enter an alphabet it will return the standard message ' The Entered Value Can Only Contain Numerical Characters " and will display the field as red(ERROR). This is working fine for one of my application where this view is the default view.

Now in my second application iam navigating from another view and reaching this view, then on the quantity field if i enter an aphabet the field will get selected as red, but the standard message is not showing. If any body solved similar probs pls do suggest.

Regards

Sarath

If you are running in a Web AS with old Support Package level you should check the properties of you second Web Dynpro Application.

There is an area where you set "Handling of Messages"...

Otherwise verify if you are using the MessageArea UI element in your views...
