Hi,

We have few questions on yMKT Planning and Budget planning.

1. Do we have integration of planning with Customer Hierarchy and Product Hierarchy? What if the customer wants to do planning on customer or Product hierarchy? How do we do it?

One option is that we upload the different level of the hierarchy as custom dimension and create the planning hierarchy with these custom dimensions. In this case there would be no direct integration with the ECC/CRM Customer Hierarchy and Product Hierarchy. We have to create them and custom dimensions.

2. Can we have approval of budget plans?

3. How can we have an approval workflow for spend planning?

Hello Aditya,

1. There is currently no integration for product and accounts in planning. This is part of our backlog however, there is no specific timeline for such standard integration. It would indeed be possible to use the custom dimensions available for budget planning to do get the product and account values, as you pointed out. However, you would not be able to model the hierarchies that easily. You would need to use Dimension Relationships and restrict the values. Possible, with some design work, and depending on your use case and the extend of the hierarchies.

2. There is currently no approval process for budget plans. This is part of our backlog however, there is no specific timeline on bringing this feature into the product.

3. Spend approval is part of the campaign approval. For more information on approvals, see our online documentation

Hi Adi,

One complication to consider when you intended to use Product category or Hierarchy as dimension/values.

It is possible that product categories will be modified and created/deleted over the time in the source system and it complicates the process of maintaining them in planning model and related objects like program/campaigns/spends.
