MDM API'S - Urgent

Hello Everyone,

I want to work on MDM Api's and connect to MDM repository which is working on MDM5.5 SP5 (5.5.42.48) and then generate reports in SAP R3.

Is there any configuration needed to be done on the SAP R/3 side so that i can start using MDMAPIC transaction.( As it is not showing me the transaction MDMAPIC in my current ECC system).

Can someone provide me with some standard SAP documents having the complete components that are required to be installed before using MDM Api's.

You, or your basis team need to apply the MDM Tech Addon in transaction SAINT.

Hi Micheal,

For starting MDM API's, is it like firstly i have to get MDM Tech Addon in Tx SAINT? If so, then from where can i get this Addon?( Is this common for all the MDM versions?)

And then according to MDM version and support pack that i want to connect to, I will have to then install some other component? ( MDM_TECH 555 as you have mentioned above for MDM 5.5 SP05 (55.42.48). If so then

1) From where can i get this component?

2) From where i can see that which component will suite my MDM version?( Because, if i want to find out the exact addon component for MDM 5.5 SP04, then from where can i find that? Is there any list given by SAP?

3) Do we have any installation guide for installing the same?

Hi again

1) From where can i get this component?

service.sap.com/swdc -> Download -> Support Packages and Patches -> Search: SAPK-570AGINMDMTECH

2) MDM Tech 555 is for MDM 5.5 SP05, MDM Tech 554 is for MDM 5.5 SP04. The more detailed patch versions will be available when you add the available support packages to the addon (transaction SPAM). I suggest you patch all MDM components to the latest patchlevel if possible. If not then just apply all support packages to MDM Tech, you will be able to select the former versions in MDMAPIC.

3) As far as i know there are only the sap notes, please check them carefully:

I also found out some details from ont of the pdf's. I also see your information and get back to you.

Landscape:

�� SAP MDM 5.5 SP4

�� The MDM ABAP API runs on any ABAP system. It is delivered with the

component MDMTECHNOLOGY (5.5.4 640, 5.5.4 700). The mandatory kernel

patches for MDM ABAP API are:

> SAP NW2004 (640) dw patch 139

> SAP NW2004s (700) dw patch 68

I hope it will be useful for anyone who wants to work on ABAP API's.
