Hi,
I am working on CRM 5.0. I am working on partner determination for Lead/ Opportunity transactions. While determining partners the partners are getting determined properly except for a Product Category. I have defined a Territory and at "Line" level of my territory defined Product Category as the attribute of this category and assigned a Product Manager at this level. Now I want this Product Manager to be determined automatically in my transaction for a Product (in the transaction) belonging to this category.
Currently for other partners the determination is happening as per the Sales Prospect's data automatically. Pl suggest how to achieve determination pf Product Manager based on Product data. Shall I go for Partner Determination at item level?
Pl suggest any alternative, if any too.
Thanks and Regards

Amber,
You can create your own rule in case you dont find a standard rule which accepts a product category. Product Catagory is an attribute in Org model, so you can use this field to create a Z- rule and use this rule in partner determination.
I hope this helps.

Hello Amber,
The other way round here is to use the Org model and using a rule you can determine the product manager in the sales order.
Have a look at the standard rule 10000278 in transaction PFAC.

Hello Amber,
We had a similar requirement wherein we implemented a partner determination BADI and provided that BADI in an access sequence.
In this BADI, write the code to determine the partner based on the product or product hierarchy entered by the user. Assign this BADI to the access sequence in the partner determination procedure at the item level.
