Hi Experts,

I am getting employee number with F4 help,

but when I select an employee number and press enter key the employee name & designation is getting populated on the screen,

But the end user wants name & designation to appear on the screen once he selects the employee number from the F4 help with out pressing enter key.

Again I repeat with out pressing the enter key I have to populate the name & designation of the employee once employee number is selected from the F4 help.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Iff

Plese advice.

    Hi,

Keep the employee number as import parameter and employee number , employee name & designation as export parameters in the search help..

      Hi,

Keep the variables 'Employee Name' & 'Employee Designation' as export parameters. However, in any case the user has to press 'Enter' key or 'Double Click on the appropriate row' or 'Select the row and click the button' to get your values on the screen. Without user interaction it is not possible to get the values directly on the screen fields.

    Hi,

Using this FM F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST it is possible, you have a parameter called "retfield" which will return only the field what you have passed for this parameter.

check for sy-subrc and read it to display in the screen.
