SAP IDM Post System copy steps

Hello All,

We have performed copy on IDM following the SAP NetWeaver Identity Management System Copy Guide - Copying the Identity Center Database.

Source System details -

Oracle DB - 11.2.0.4

Netweaver - 7.3 SP 16

IDM - 7.2 SP 10

Target System details -

Oracle DB - 11.2.0.4

Netweaver - 7.4 SP 12

IDM - 7.2 SP 10

My question is - in the System Copy GUide under section 1.4 Performing Post-system copy steps.

it is mentioned, adjust copied SQL queries to the new database if necessary

. The SQL queries typically exist in ( Unable to locate)

- source tab of a pass

- access controls

- conditional tasks

- switch tasks

- scripts using the uselect function

I am unable to locate the SQL queris on Source IDM console.

Kindly assist.

Thanks

Hema

Hello Hema,

you only need to adjust the SQL statements when you copied to another database type, e.g. from Oracle to MSSQL, because some commands are different or some are now needed (for example "with (nolock)" when changing to MSSQL). Since you didn't change that, I see no reason for you to change SQL statements.

That being said, I'm confused by your issue.

I am unable to locate the SQL queris on Source IDM console.

Where are you looking exactly? Maybe you understood the list incorrectly? It doesn't mean the source of the copy (the original IDM system), but the source tab of passes in jobs (for example).

In short: Everywhere where SQL statements are used you would need to check and (maybe) change them to fit the new database type. There is no definite list, because no IDM configuration is the same.

.

Regards,

Steffi.
