CM Repository created is not visible

Hi all,

We are trying to create a CM Repository because we need to have a folder under Root Folder in KM.

When we create the repository (with "dbfs" as persistence mode), this is not visible under Root Folder. The "Hide in Root Folder" parameter is not checked, so our repository shoud be displayed. Why is it not displayed?

Another question. When we make changes in the repository configuration, normally we restart the entire portal. Is this necessary? Which servlet engine have we to restart in order that the modifications take effect?

Thanks in advance,

Samantha.

Does the repository appear in the Component Monitor? See

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/72/8d65be99bd034c95c40df97a0e0ff4/frameset.htm

Maybe you find an error message there.

In persistency mode DBFS you need to enter a value in the parameter "Root Directory". See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/62/468698a8e611d5993600508b6b8b11/frameset.htm

As a follow on to Michael's comment, you may also need to specify the versions directory and have the corresponding folders created on the server filesystem.

Hi,

Thanks for your help. The problem was in the parameter "Root Directory" which was not specified correctly.

But now I cannot restrict access to the repository. I have set read-only permission, but everybody can modify and delete files. Where is the problem?

Thanks again,

Samantha.

Did you assign an ACL Security Manager?

ACL Security Manager=AclSecurityManager

ACL Manager Cache = ca_rsrc_acl

We have the following parameters:

ACL Security Manager=AclSecurityManager

ACL Manager Cache = ca_rsrc_acl

Memory Cache = ca_cm

Thanks,

Samantha.

Hmm, the config should be ok. Maybe a thing on the permissions. Did you check this documentation?

Hi,

I have checked the following items:

- In the Component Monitor, our repository is ok. There are no errors.

- In the Permissions iView, each folder has its own permissions (read-only permissions), but everybody can modify or delete files into them. The repository itself has read-only permissions too.

I don't understand the cause... Any idea more?

Thanks again.

Samantha.

Hi,

The problem has already been solved. The reason was all "my users" belonged to Administrators group and therefore the configured permissions for the repository/folder were ignored.

Thanks for your help.

Samantha.
