SHOWING SUBREPORT FOOTER IN MAIN REPORT

Dear All,

Kindly guide. I have a main report , which has all the sections except the Details section suppressed.

In the details section of this main report I have added added a sub report.

This report is a bill. Like all the bills we get from a merchant, every page of it have a fixed format with page footer coming at extreme bottom.

But when i generate the main report, this page footers of sub reports are not coming as page footers in the preview, rather the position is being varied.

Please advise as on how we can make the main report output output to have the sub report page footers displayed as in the same position, its page footer.

    Hi Vysakh,

    Try this please:

    1) Insert a Group on a 'key' field from the Details Section:

    2. Move the Subreport to the Group Header, suppress the Group Footer and the Details.

    3. The Page Footer on the Main Report should show up on each page. Use this section to display the footer info.

Subreports do not have page footers so will not be used in main report.

Try creating a Group which encompasses all the data that will be returned in Subreport.
Suppress header and move all the data you want in page footer to Group Footer.
In section expert check print at bottom of page.

Not tried this but it might work

    Thanks Ian / Abhilash,

have tried the advises shared from your kind behalf. But the issue still persisted.

Sorry for not continuing with the flow. But due to time constraints, I tried to combine main report query with sub report using join.

Now while running I am receiving an error in a SQL expression, which I cant even find in my report.

SQL expression not showing in the crystal report 11 field explorer. can you please advise.

    Thanks again,

    Vysakh Suresh
