Validation not started for Mass CR type

Hi Experts,

I have configured a Rule based workflow for Processing Multiple Suppliers.

Workflow set up works well. However at Step 90, Final Check i enabled 'Validation' for this CR type. So we need to 'Run validation' before approving the CR.

However when i click the button 'Run Validation' , the validation does not start and there is not Validation log too. Finally i cannot approve, as it is a hard stop error message.

I could still by-pass this validation by removing at my configuration, which i did by unchecking validation . So now i can approve even without running validation.(this is not hardstop)

But, i dont want to do this, as this a standard button and feature which runs validations,derivation and brf rules for all the Suppliers in my mass CR type.

So can anyone help me why the validation is not starting even when i click the button 'Run Validation' on the Mass change request while approving it.

We are on MDG8.

How are you checking if the validation has started or not? Also, clicking on run validation will schedule a background job. Check if the user clicking on the button has the authorization to start the job.

You were spot on. thank you very much. The user did not have access to run batch jobs at the backend.
