Does SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe work with ECC 5.0 ?

Hello,

We are planning to use Webdynpro to develop our OWN forms in our PORTAL EP 7.0 and to get the data from our ECC 5.0 which is ABAP ONLY.

Is this scenario possible ?

Did anyone implement such a solution ?

Do we need to install the J2EE addon to the ECC 5.0 and use the ADS there ?

Please, advise.

Kind regards,

Gil

Hi Gil,

Do you still need information ?

If yes, you can use your PORTAL JAVA STACK . In this case configure your ECC5 to set JAVA as the PORTAL JAVA STack ;

That's all.

Hi Bertrand,

1) YES, I still need the information.

Thank you VERY much for your reply !

2) How do I set the ECC5 to set the JAVA_STACK as the one of the Portal ?

Do I need to create the J2EE_ADMIN, SAPJSF and other users , set entries in Visual Admin, etc ?

OR

Do I just set the ADS from the ABAP to point to the ADS of the Portal ?

If the latter, how do I do that too ?

Kind regards,

Gil

Hi Gil,

In ECC5 , admins have to define the J2EE server used ( for this,used transaction RZ10 ) .

Of course you have to define your J2EE server to be ready for ADS ( user, pawd, credentials )

Your ADS connection in ABAP stack is defined to be link automaticaly with the ADS connection of the JAVA Stack . So for this you do not have something to do .

Hope this help.

Hi Bertrand,

First of all, thank you VERY much for your reply.

I still have one question:

I have several clients in my ECC 5.0 system.

How do I connect each one of them to the ADS in the portal ?

Can I only work with ONE client at a time ?

How and where do I set the client ?

Thanks again and kind regards,

Gil

Hi Gil,

Sorry for the delay.

I'm not able to answer your last question . As i know the connection with the WAS JAVA is done in the instance profile of the SAP System so i think that you have to define it on each client .

Currently i work on the subject where on the same hardware i got 2 different SAP System and each of them have ADS Connexion define and that works fine .

Hope this help you.
