Hi All,
we are facing a issue when we try to change the hire date of the employee in PA30. When changing the hire date in PA30 this errors in both Basic Pay and Recurring Payments (It14). If changing the date back in time it overrides salary details to blank. If moving the date forward it adds an extra line for the day after on both Basic Pay and recurring payments which needs to be manually removed.
can anyone please let me know how to overcome/fix this problem.

Regards,
PK

Are you using the Change entry/leaving date Utility in pa30?

If so, are re-executing the InfoGroup?

Has Time Evaluation and Payroll Calculation already been processed "LIVE" for that employee?

If so, is it still possible to delete these Results Clusters?

Hi.

Yes, we are changing the hire date via the Utilities as shown in the screenshot.

Is it necessary to re enter the values in the infotype 8, 14 everytime the hire date is changed?

can you please elaborate on "re-executing the InfoGroup?"

You should not need to re-enter the values in IT0008 or IT0014, but you must make sure to change the Start Date of all Infotypes, and in some infotypes (such as IT0041), corrections may be required.

Hi Remi,

the issue im facing is, when I change the start date of the employee for example, from 1oct 2017 to 10 oct 2017, and save the record ( we skip the infotype changes in the infogroup) , I notice that it creates a new entry in Infotype 8, 14 .

Like 2 entries as follows:

01.10.2017

11.10.2017

And we are manually having to delete the previous entry.

Can you please let me know what could be the cause of this and how to resolve this?

There are some Infotypes that should not exist before the Hire Date, and I think that all Infotypes that generate payments should fall in that Category.

But to confirm why and how IT0008 and IT0014 are delimited as of the new Hire Date, I'd have to see exactly what you do, what warnings or pop-ups you get during the process, and what includes are called.

Hi Remi,

Thank you.

I am using the Tcode Pa30 and enter the pernr -> utilities -> change Start date as you suggested earlier.

Enter the new hire date (lets say 16 oct 2017) , click on ok

I get the pop up listing all the infotypes that would be affected, and I click ok and Save.

When I go back to infotype 8, I see 2 entries:

16.10.2017 - to 16.10.2017

17.10.2017 - to 31.12.9999

I will have to manually delete the entry for 16.10.2017 - 16.10.2017

and manually correct the start date from for the 2nd entry from 17.10.2017 to 16.10.2017.

can you please shed anylight on the includes you mentioned in the comment?

Regards,

PK

Hi

yes , I have tried with PA41 also to change the start date of the employee, but still the problem persists.

Can you please suggest any other options?

Wether you use the Utilities option in pa30 or t-code pa41, you will come to the same screen.

After changing the Action Start Date (IT0000), upon "saving" the change, the system will bring you a pop-up screen where you will have to mark all the Infotypes you want the Start Date changed.

After changing the Action Start Date (IT0000), if you activate the "Execute InfoGroup" button, you will go through each Infotype to confirm the new Start Date, but this option would generate 2 entries if the new Start Date is after the original one.
