Connect Lumira to Microsoft Projects Online

Hi There

We are trying to connect SAP Lumira 2.0 to Microsoft Projects Online using an Odata connection. When we connect we get an error 403 - Reason forbidden.

Trying to connect to the same service using MS PowerBI or Excel - We retrieve data without problems.

I belive that this is caused by the logon method. Using Excel (and PowerBI) we are guidede to an office 365 account logon page where we choose the organizational account for the logon. In Lumira we are typing the username and password into the Odata connection and not the 365 account.

Has anybody connected to Project Online from Lumira? Is there some sort of workarroud?

/Chris

Hi Chris - I haven't tried this but this is a very interesting idea.

What version of OData is used?

I belive it is 2.0 - We get the same issue with both version 1.31 and 2.0. We select Generic Odata 2.0 Connector

    Hi

I believe i found the course of the issue. The current Odata connector in Lumira use version 2.0 while Project Online has the service developed in version 3.0. I believe they are not compatible. PowerBI and Excel user Version 4.0 so no problem there.

Do you have knowledge of a 3. party odata connector utilizing version 3 og 4

Chris - an option is to try SAP Analytics Cloud to consume the Odata - see https://www.sapanalytics.cloud/

    • Hi Tammy

I tried Cloud Analytics to Projects Online - I could not get it to work. The error message is not exactly the same but again I am not pushed to the Office 365 Account logon. So to me it seems it is currently not possible.
