Federated Portal – No access to PCD object from Producer portal

Hi Experts

I have a minor issue, has setup a Federated Portal network as described from the guide “help.sap.com”

• Trust between the portal has been configured

• Users are located in the same Persistence store (R3 system)

• P4 port is set to standard xxxx4

• Access rights on PCD folder has been set for “super admin”=full control and everyone=read

• Registration of Producer portal in consumer has been done without errors, and the minor connection test shows no errors.

When I try from the consumer portal to open the PCD structure from the Producer portal, then the content cannot be shown.

I have looked in the default trace on the producer portal which gives the following error:

---

Message : User is not authorized to access to the Portal Service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.Bridge

[EXCEPTION]

com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: Access is denied:

com.sap.portal.prt.soap.Bridge - user: J2EE_GUEST, at com.sapportals.portal.prt.deployment.DeploymentManager.checkPermissions(DeploymentManager.java:2005)at

com.sapportals.portal.prt.core.service.ServiceManager.get(ServiceManager.java:239)

---

If I add the super_admin role to the j2ee_guest account then content is shown, as intended, but I guess this in not the correct way to fix this issue 😉

Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

John

    John:

Please tell me your step-by-step procedure how to reproduce

this error. I'll try in my FPN to see if I have the same.

BTW, nobody in our FPN reported anything like yours.

    Regards.

      Hi

I found an error in my trust settings, seems like it was not working according to planned.

It is now possible to view remote content through “Content Administration” and do remote role assignment.

Content added through PCD objects resolve in the following error when shown:

      -

      Portal Runtime Error

An exception occurred while processing your request

      Exception id: 10:06_21/11/07_0013_5697650

See the details for the exception ID in the log file.

      -

And when I do remote role assignment then roles are added to my profile but none of the objects are shown as entry points.

I have found the following entries in the log:

      Date : 11/20/2007

      Time : 18:03:34:727

Message : Originated from: com.sap.engine.services.jmx.exception.JmxSecurityException: Caller Guest not authorized, only role administrators is allowed to access JMX

      Date : 11/20/2007

      Time : 18:03:34:712

Message : com.sap.engine.services.jmx.exception.JmxSecurityException: Caller Guest not authorized, only role administrators is allowed to access JMX

Anyone got any ideas on where I can correct this ?!?

      Thanks in advance

      Cheers

I would guess you need to give j2ee_admin end user permission to somewhere in the security zones. It would have permission to execute com.sap.portal.prt.soap.bridge then.
