Hi.
Been working on PI 7.0 for a while now and also did some dynpro and j2ee coding.
It was with great excitement that I downloaded the sneak preview for CE 7.1. This new "Service Repository" sounded very cool. Now however I am a bit rattled.
How do I set up a UDDI server and how do I load content into it? Where do I get the content to load into it?
Is there no quickstart apart from the help files and samples?
Thanks.
Rod
Hello Rod
The ESR is not available with the CE engine that is available for sneak preview. The ramp up for CE is currently on and once that is done (end 2007 - early 2008), you can download it from the Service Marketplace and install it on the CE engine.
Once the ESR is setup - you can either import the ES bundles that are provided by SAP or you can create your own services using ESR, implement them and publish them in the service registry. This use case has been discussed heavily in Tech Eds and we are currently trying to put some content regarding the same in SDN.
