I am working on converting our existing BEx 3.5 workbooks to Analysis Office workbooks and then save to BIP platform. My issue is after I change the BW connection to BO OLAP SSO connection and refresh the workbook, the workbook resets to the default view of the query and all cusotmizations are lost.
Our platform
Bex 3.5 workbooks
BI 4.2 SP2
BIP Addon 4.2 SP2
AO for Excel 2.2
As per the ideaplace (https://ideas.sap.com/D10143) this has been delivered from AO 1.4 SP13 so the Bex workbook filters and format are preserved but I tried several ways and cannot achieve this. I might be missing something obvious and cannot figure it out. I searched all discussions on SCN and tried "replace system" feature. Nothing seem to work.
The discussion (http://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3387566) is exactly what I am facing. But I am using AO 2.2 and it's not working for me.
Please help!
Sincerely,
Prapoorna
OK, logoff button is in 2.3 - see below:
Source: SAP
But, in 2.1 I wrote this and you can create your own logoff button: https://blogs.sap.com/2015/07/12/trying-out-the-sap-logoff-api-analysis-office-21/
Could you try that in the steps of Xavier's blog?

Please see the below screen prints. When I click on "replace system" I see the systems on my SAP GUI laundhpad and also the blue highlighted option.
clicking on the Logon icon takes me to below screen. I enter the BO logon credentials.
Then go to workbook, change the Data Source Name to point to Bex query though BICS SSO OLAP connection.
Thanks!

Tammy,
That did the trick! I was able to save it to BI platform and schedule the converted Analysis workbook. I tried this on simple workbook with one sheet. I am going to try a complex Bex workbook next.
Only thing is I need to add Button on each workbook and it's saving as .xlsm. Will AO 2.3 work with BIP Addon 2.2 if I need to upgrade?
Thanks for all your help,
Prapoorna

Tammy,
I use Analysis Office 2.2 and I don't see the "Log Off"Option.
Here are the complete steps I perform
One thing I noticed is the Planning tab is still using BW connection. However, the workbook doesn't have any planning functions.
Thanks for your help!

Did you try following steps in Xavier's blog? http://www.hackingsap.com/blog/migrating-analysis-for-office-workbooks-from-bw-to-bi-platform - logging out of BW, and then replacing the system?
