Under the search option for Payment Terms, there are different options.

Is there any scenario where it makes sense to pay at a later date. In the case of rental payment, would it be advantageous to pay at a later date?

From a finance perspective, assuming you are investing your excess cash, it may be advantageous to pay as late as possible so you are earning interest on cash - this is something you should learn in your Finance course, not necessarily Accounting
