The purpose of workbook Cost Center Integration of IBP and ERP

There is a workbook "Cost Center Integration of IBP and ERP" in BPC optimized for S/4 HANA. Is this workbook can be used to retract the planning data from IBP back to ERP like the retraction between BPC and ECC before? Also why we need a function to copy data from ERP to IBP, since IBP and ERP share the transaction data by the table ACDOCA already?

ACDOCA has nothing to do with this... Acdoca will have actuals, never plan data. This workbook is reading plan data from BPC in the "IBP" columns and from CO planning tables in the "ERP" columns.

The integration is performed via planning functions and it's a two way via, you can copy data from CO to BPC and vice-versa.

Those copy button will modify only the workbook. The integration will occur when you hit "Save".

This Workbook, like 2 others, if for allocations of plan data. You can send data to ERP, allocate it there and retrieve back to IBP. Therefore not all accounts can be sent and not all accounts will be retrieved.

So the button for run function "Copy IBP to ERP" is the same like retraction BPC data to ERP like the standard BPC before?

    • Pretty much the same, the difference is that with this you can see the data that is CO as well and you can also save the CO data to BPC.

The mechanics on it works however, are quite different.
