Former Member

are these sytems (pxd , pxq , pxp)

3 different systems, ie: different physical systems(client systems) or just partitions in a single server..how do they stay connected?.

Then in help.sap.com they have given a step like this

""To export or import design objects, call the design maintenance screen of the Integration Builder.""

what is the the design maintenance screen ? how to start it?

more over a blog says that custom RFC modules are developed for JCO calls & the usage dependency objects created must also be transferred , i am not sure about what are jco calls &dependency objects

helpful answers will be surely rewarded

Hi,

How to Transport objects

<b>In Integration Repository object:</b>

right click on the Namespace which you want to send to Quality system and select the export optin and export it....this will create a .tpz file on the server following path

usrsap<SID>SYSglobalxi epository_serverexportsample.tpz

this file will be copied by the BASIS and pasted in follwoing path

usrsap<SID>SYSglobalxi epository_serverimportsample.tpz

similar procedure for directory

right click on the configuration scenarion in development which you want to send to Quality select the export optin and export it....this will create a .tpz file on the server following path

usrsap<SID>SYSglobalxidirectory_serverexportsample.tpz

then login to the IR of the quality select the tools--import option you will get this tpz file and import it and activate.

<b>different Physical systems for DEV, QA and PRD purpose...and using CMS and file system objects are transported..</b>

<b>In IR the screen which you see is design maintenance screen ...Simply go to root screen of XI that is : http://hostname:port/rep/start/index.jsp

there choose Integration repository</b>

-->more over a blog says that custom RFC modules are developed for JCO calls & the usage dependency objects created must also be transferred , i am not sure about what are jco calls &dependency objects

jco stands for java connectors..and dependency objects are defined in SLd while creating software components..
