Scrap factor

Is it possible to define a scrap factor for the items in the Item Master Data? This factor should be used as quantity modifier when components are ordered to compensate the loss of parts during the production process.

The scrap factor is a characteristic of the item and is independent of the BOM.

do you mean % of quantity above qty defined in BOM ? e.g. item A need 20 piece to produce 1 pieces product C, but after following some machines, there will be damage, bad quality and etc that qty will be 5 from qty defined in BOM, so you need 5/20 x 100% scrap factor. In Microsoft Dynamics Navision, there is field named scrap % but in SAP B1, it is not available except using addon like beas AG or you must create UDF and FMS, so that it works and add into item BOM quantity of production order and also work when you run MRP.
