Hi Guys
I have several packages that run in the same monthly consolidation process, there are few variations in the dimensions filters, like entity and consolidation group, i can change it package by package, but there are a lot to change and it take some time, so the question is, is there a way to set the same time dimension filter to all the packages? or a way that I can automate this process?
Hi Vadim
By dimension filter i mean the values of the package prompt. About my consolidation process, we have around 10 common users and 1 key user, each one of the 10 users, runs the process for one entity, this process have around 3 packages for each entity, so we have around 30 packages in total. The key user is the responsable to prepare all the dimension master data, and prepare all the necesary stuff to begin the consolidation process. One of this task, is to check and change the values of each package prompt, for example: the first task of the common user is to load the data from the ecc, so for the first common user the values of the package prompt are [TIME = 08.2017, ENTITY = 8000, CURRENCY = MXN], the values for the second user are [TIME = 08.2017, ENTITY = 6000, CURRENCY = MXN], as you can see, the only diference its the entity, so the key user just have to change the value of the TIME dimension from 08.2017 to 09.2017, but he have to change it manualy for each of the 30 packages. As you can see he have to spend some time with this, for that reason, i want to know if there´s a way to change the TIME dimension value for the 30 packages at once.
Thanks and regards

First - when loading data from ECC I am not sure about TIME dimension 🙂
Please provide advanced DM scripts for some sequence. It's not possible to discuss the case theoretically, I need real samples! And what do you mean by changing values by key user? May be you are talking not about packages but about package links?
P.S. "By dimension filter i mean the values of the package prompt" - incorrect term, for DM packages filter means something different!
What do you mean by "dimension filter"?
Can you provide more details about each package? Chain used? Advanced DM script?
1. In some cases you can create a custom chain to combine packages to have single common variable.
2. In some cases you need only to combine script logic scripts.
3. In some cases you can do some abap development based UJD_TEST_PACKAGELINK
There is no common solution!
P.S. You can also use saved filter for time dimension but this filter is user specific.
