Need to input External serial number during confirmation with goods movement

Hi Guru's,

Scenario: SAP is integrated to a MES system.

3 things happen via MES system in SAP:-

1. Production Order Confirmation done in MES system

2. Goods movement, GI and GR for production order is done in MES system at Operation level.

3. Serial number generation happens in MES system, it will be sent to SAP

We have managed to achieve the first 2 points using bapi_prodordconf_create_tt.

But unable to find a work around for including serial number.

What we did try is, another BAPI: BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE--> This BAPI does goods movement(Both 261 & 101) at production order level, but what we need is goods movement at operation level.

Could you please advice, how we can achieve all 3 functionalities.

Please suggest any work around, that could bring us to solve this.

Dear Srinath,

we have done also same integration. For 3rd point also you can use RFC/BAPI. In our system also Serial numbers are generated in Microsoft Excel file and automatically Uploaded in SAP.
