Hi all,

I updated the OS of my PC Computer from Windows XP to Windows 7 32-bit. After that when I tried to open Sybase SQL Anywhere Version 9.0 it crashes. I have read in a blog that EFB3924 must be installed to have full compatibility with Win 7. Per my knowledge last EFB for the old version 9.0 was 3951. However, I have tried to download it and the link is not working...How can I do to get at least the EFB3951 patch?

By the download "not working", what do you mean? I have just tested the download and was able to successfully download the patch.

I do not recall any Win7 specific crashes in SA9 other than a problem with Sybase Central. In most cases, we indicate support for a new OS based on the first update in which the new platform has undergone testing. It is possible that there

The fix for the SC issues was in Build 3913 or later. A workaround is to turn off
"Use visual styles on windows and buttons" in Windows performance
options located in: Control Panel -> System -> Advanced tab.

Hi Carlos,

I was able to download EBF3951.
You must trace the link of version 9 with reference to following KBA.
2381119 - About the latest version of SQL Anywhere

Select target OS: "WINDOWS SERVER ON IA32 32BIT"

My recognition is IA32 = x86.

Thanks,
Atsushi

Atsushi, is this a URL within a corporate network? I cannot access the URL you've given but this one

For Carlos: You will need to have a SAP support contract to access downloads, AFAIK. Until 06/2014, EBFs were freely available. (Just in case you have not tried to download an EBF for several years...)

Yes, Carlos need SAP support contract(S-user).
S-users need to have special privileges to use support applications (like incident management or software download).

Sorry for a confusion.

Thanks,
Atsushi

Hi Atsushi thanks for the response.

I requested a S-User to SAP days ago, and this is the reply that I got from them:

"In case you do not have a valid agreement signed with SAP, please log on to the SAP Community at https://www.sap.com/community.html where you can post your questions on Forums. You will need to register on the Forum first and you will receive a User ID and password"

This version of Sybase Anywhere Studio v9.0 was purchased by the company where I´m working on now about 10 years ago and I´m almost sure that a support contract was not signed those days. How can my company does now to apply for a S-User or a valid agreement with SAP?
