Release strategy and ME54N.

Hi,

I can't perform the release with trx ME54N for a purchase requisition.

In the screen layout I don't see the release button in "Release strategy" view,

it seems not enabled.

It seems the relese strategy does not effect the purchase order.If the release strategy is there for a document a tab like 'Release strategy will come in the item detail screen of a purchase requisition.There you can see the release details like Release code, release group etc.If you get the tab then only you can releas the document at ME54.

In the releae strategy definition are you using the Ranges for any of your charectarestics?

Also did you create any release class of your own?

If you can give more details like class,charectarestics and thier definitions how u create a more precise answer would have come

Hi,

Actually to criteria to meet release of any document is defined via class and characterstics so you first check the purchase requisition you are raising come under that release criteris.

For example any PR above rs 100000 is subjected to release.So you check in release startegy what threshold value or other characterstics are given in relative class.

Check the Release Indicator tab whether have you checked the released options,

Might this could be the reason for not showing the Pen with arrow mark.

Hi,

You can check this in IMG settings --Configuration of Release procedure of PR with classification, here you will define release group, release codes, release indicator and release strategy,

Check the release indicator specifically and also in Release strategy check the release prerequisites also.

If no then see for Classification System is Maintained Properly....Cl24N.
