ITSmobile for WMS - Softwarelevel - Skills

Hi!

In former projects we used WebSAPConsole. According to SAPs Mobile Strategy we will use ITSmobile for the next project starting in 3 weeks. Our customer will use Symbol 9000 and a Naurtech browser (delivered by us). This browser is able to map keys for functions. Our customer uses ECC6.0, WAS 6.40 with integrated ITS and has Support Package12 installed. ITSmobile requires SP21. The customer is not able to do a quick update in the next weeks.

- Is it possible to run ITSmobile with Level older than 6.40 SP21. What does not work with "normal" ITS 6.40 SP12. Are there single Notes to install.

- ITSmobile does not generate templates for a special browser. Can anybody recommand a browser. We actually use the Naurtech-Browsers to provide function keys (F3=back and so on).

- We am very familiar with ABAP Dynpro. Are there any necessary skills like ITS-IACs?

Hi Hans-Peter,

It is nessessary to update the SP to a higher level.

The process work so, that you generate for all dynpros HTML Templates.

With SP 21 you get an generator that do all this work for you.

I addition you must also update you kernelpatch.

You get HTML, that is usable with every browser, but you get additional

functionalities when you use the correct one.

Why do you dont use the Symbol Pocket Browser???

(you get additional functionalities over the Equi-Tags)

The functionkey are automaticaly enabled, beacause the JS is map the key

and send the to the backend.

Hi Hans-Peter,

there are many really - many point why you should use

the ITSmobile for your RF Transaction.

(you get a stable architecture, that can be extended very easy)

No dlls and additonal expertise for this solution

nesseccery. And you can add ActiveX Controls to communicate for example with a scale or a RFID reader.

So I hope you can upgrade your SP level and use the ITSmobile.

PS: maybe there is also a chance to use the SP12 and apply the ITSmobile code into your system.
