Convert SAP smartforms to Base64

Hi Friends ,

We want to display customer related outputs like Invoice, Credit memo, Pack slip over the web.

Currently when user requests the outputs for any of these documents SAP sends all the relevant data to Web and then Web prints into appropriate format.

Going with this approach the design ,font and Layout for SAP and Web is not matching.

To make this in sync we thought of going with below approach.

when customer selects any of these documents. We are planning to convert SAP smartforms to Base64 encoding and send to the Web.

Web will then convert the Base64 to display. This should not change the any of the output formats.

I have some questions

• 1. what will be the size limit to send Base64 to Web ?

• 2.Does the large file size format reduces the performance?

• 3.Is there any other approach to work on this?

Please let me know if you have any right approach.
