Can one retrieve a balance sheet per plant?

Hi Theo,

I think Segmental Reporting is the option in ECC 6.0. If you can define your plant as one segment, you can draw balance sheet / P&L accounts appropriately. These reports can be used for external reporting purposes.

However, profit center accounting would give you the overall profitability, but to my understanding the reports that could be drawn used profit center accounting may not suffice for external reporting purposes.

Briefly, segment reporting is part of the new GL accounting. You need to do the item categorization. Create segments, assign these segments in the profit center master data. Create cost centers, assign the profit centers in the cost center master data. This is how the values ultimately flow to the segment.

It is not possible to extract Balance sheet per Plant but however it is possible to get Profit centerwise Balance sheet. So you can make a Plant to Profit center relationship and extract a plant wise Balance sheet indirectly.
