Sit for SAP EXAM without Industrial Experience

Hi,

I'm Self studying ABAP and want to sit for the sap certified development associate 7.40. But i dont have SAP industrial experience of 1 year which is a exam prerequisite. Can anyone tell me how to take an attempt for the exam when we are not currently involved in SAP industry.

THanks in advance

I think it may depend on the country but if I look at this https://training.sap.com/certification/c_taw12_740-sap-certified-development-associate--abap-with-sap-netweaver-740-g/ it doesn't say you need 1 year experience to take it.

    • It does depend on the region - in some regions you need to apply to sit a certification exam by proving you have relevant work experience or by passing the relevant training courses onsite or in SAP Learning Hub.

Thank you for your valued replies on behalf of me!!! Im really in doubt what to do in order grab job opportunity in SAP.. Would concentrating on HANA modules be good at this ppoint of time rather than ABAP... or is it worth trying to get certified in ABAP still?
