Dear All,

I am working on Work Manager 6.4 base application and SMP3.0 SP12. We have done customizations on this base application which is working fine.

In future we may go with additional components like "Meter Management".

My question is , how easy is to merge the new addon in Agentry application . Since the new addon will be base application + meter management, so does this mean that the base application code (agentry+java) will also be different in Meter Management.

Does the existing functionality will be same or it will change , If its changed how easily our existing enhancements can be merged.

If anyone has done similar task , please share your experience and suggestions.

Thanks and Regards

Meter Management contains additional functionality beyond the base product. If and when you move in that direction I would recommend to first start with the base Meter Management functionality to understand the differences. Then you would probably look to merge in your changes forward from the base product into the Meter Management version. This would be similar to how you would move to a new version of the base Work Manager. The Editor provides some import/export/compare tools to assist with the Agentry definitions. There are numerous java tools available for dealing with any custom java changes (which typically are in separate classes anyway so the process is rather easy).

Hi Bill,

So you mean I should first test the standard "Work Manager with Meter Management " application . So that we can understand what is the difference and where we need to make the changes.

Then I should merge my changes on that. Please correct me if I am wrong.
