Oracle views not appearing in IDT

Hi Folks,

I'm a newbie on the Community site and still climbing the vast learning curve that is SAP's BI Platform.

I have two hopefully quick questions:

1/ Through the IDT I connected to a clients Oracle DB using the Oracle Client ODBC but when I tried to pull in the tables & views into the data foundation all I could see was the tables even though there are definitely views in the schema. I couldn't see any setting in the ODBC that was blocking them. I assume IDT supports Oracle views so is there some step I am missing..?

2/ My client has already built up the views as a way of simplifying some of the data and they asked if the universe supported the ability to auto update the business layer/universe if new columns were added to a particular view.
