How to maintain exchange rates in the production system.

In other words how to customise in the production sysytem

Hi,

One option is to enter the exchange rates (through file upload) in OB08 in development client and transport it to Quality system and then to Production system. Many companies update exchange rates monthly. In this case moving the transport request from D > Q> P will work.

However, in some companies (due to statutory requirements - like Brazil / Mexico), the forex exchange rates are maintained on a daily basis. In such case moving the transport may be an issue. In such cases the transaction OB08 is kept (with authorization restricted to one or two users) and the values are entered / uploaded directly in production system.
