Security Supply Chain Event Management

Friends,

My customer is initiating an Event Management (EM) project and they have some concerns regarding the security. In the case business partners are supposed to update information via the web interface (either WCL or abap webdynpro in 5.1) the question is how to secure the communication to the back-end EM server? The customer does not accept http-calls through their firewall (but they accept RFC/BAPI).

My questions:

- Does webinterface in EM use http or RFC/BAPI to access EM server?

- How is installation done to get security (DMZ etc)?

Best regards,

Fredrik
