Mandatory fields in Screen Personas 3.0 (SP3)

Trying to delete the validation to make mandatory text fields "normal" text fields, I am using the Properties "recommended" and delete the check in the properties.

But after saving and closing the Editor, the field is still a mandatory field?

Anyone who can point me at the right direction?

You cannot turn mandatory fields on the backend screen into optional ones. The underlying transaction logic expects those fields to be populated, so this would break the transaction processing.
