Dear Gurus,
we have a company code in italy with a chart of account and a controlling area.
We want to open a new company code in UK, so we defined a new company code having GBP as company code currency.
Now we want to assign the same chart of account of the italian company to the UK one and we have not experienced any problem.
We have an issue assigning the old controlling area to the UK company code, since the controlling area has currency type 10, and currency EUR, and it is not allowed to be assigned to the UK company code.
We thought to edit the currency type in the controlling area from 10 to 30, so that after this edit we can assign it to the UK company code, but we are afraid that after this change we experience some issue in productive system.
Would be better to create a new controlling area or such operation is risk free?
Thanks
JD
Hi,
It would be better to create a new controlling area.
119428 - Controlling area: Currency type 20 or 30
314936 - Currency type in the controlling area
