Modification of Infoobject

I have modified the infoobject in APO BW.

Do I need to update rules and adjust to new structure ?

Hi Venkat,

What modification did you do in your Info object? Usually you donot have to make any other adjustments in the Demand Planning or SNP cofigurations....but it really depends on what modification you did.

Also can you be more specific on your question: "Do I need to update rules and adjust to new structure ?" - What rules and structures are you talking about?

Sorry for not being more specific.

I had added one infoobject and deleted another infoobject.

Since I did this modification, do I need to update rules of

Infosource AZ for InfoProvider XAZ and adjust them to the new

structure of the data target and activate them ?

I hope I am clear.

Hi Venkat,

As I understand it, you replaced one info object with other. Even if you have added and deleted, you need to modify the update rules. They automatically get deactivated. Also make sure that the changes you made(deletion and addition) are reflected in the infsource as well. You have to make sure that the mappings are all correct as you have deleted an info object, make sure that the mapping for this object is done with the other relevant object and any thing as such in mapping.

Simply the answer for your question is YES. You need to update your update rules and any abap logic involved.
