how to work in SRM 5 Server?

Hi,

I got into the SRM server through SAP GUI. Now How to launch the SRm interface (Webpage)?

Also are there any training materials for a beginner?

I saw some logs where Atul seems to have some good docs.

Atul, can you pl send me some good learning material?

Pl advise,

Thanks,

Ven

    Hi Venkat,

You can form the link to access SRM through Web:

    http://<hostname>.<domainname>/scripts/wgate/bbpstart/!?language=<language>&sap-client=<client>

You can get the Host name from Transaction Code SM59 (from GUI) go to ABAP Connections, double click on SRM system. Port used is usually 8000 (confirm with Basis Consultant)

    example of complete SRM URL:

    http://xyz01.solnet.com:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart/!?sap-language=en&sap-=100

There is good amount of documentation given by SAP. To start with read the Help documents by SAP http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/8d/f6a93e08503614e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

For an overview try to understand the Business Scenarios, Technical Scenarios and SAP SRM Components

" Enhancing Supplier Relationship Management using SAP SRM" by Sachin Sethi is a good book available on SAP SRM. You may want to refer this book.

    All the best.
