Weird...A got an Windows XP with 1.8Gb and 1Gb RAM....NSP runs smoothly...

Maybe there are too many processes running...Or one the them is consuming all your RAM...

Greetings,

Blag.

Hi Marco,

Take this not as the an official solution, but you could try to adjust two parameters:

One is in <INSTALL_DIR>\NSP\SYS\profile\NSP_DVEBMGS00_<HOSTNAME>. Change the parameter PHYS_MEMSIZE.

In the MaxDB you can increase the value for CACHE_SIZE. If you have a MaxDB Database Manger installed, open it, connect to NSP and under 'Configuration->Parameters' you'll find CACHE_SIZE. If the MaxDB Database Manager is not installed, you may want to use the SAP MMC. Click the database symbol. If you receive an 'Page not found' error, you need to start the SAP DB WWW service. Open a command line and enter:

net start sapdbwww

Kind regards,

Klaus

Hi Klaus

Thanks for your answer.

I have increased the cache site 25.600 to 150.000.

But the Data Cache Hit Rate move to 95% to 92% !

What do yo thing about Data Cache Hite Rate over 90% ?

Hi Marco,

Almost impossible, the hit rate should increase while increasing the CACHE_SIZE.

The MaxDB proposal is a Data Cache Hit Rate of 98% or above(<a href="http://maxdb.sap.com/currentdoc/43/dcb21e806a28c1e10000000a155369/frameset.htm">http://maxdb.sap.com/currentdoc/43/dcb21e806a28c1e10000000a155369/frameset.htm</a>) and on my 2 GB RAM machine I reach this value without any problem. The CACHE_SIZE is set to 25600.I would investigate the hit rate for some time. Do think the system is faster?

Klaus
