Internal/External access and reverse proxy

Our portal is on EP6SP19. We’ve installed and configured an Apache reverse proxy. Everything is working as expected except if all traffic goes through proxy.

The difference is we don’t want our internal users to go through the proxy. The System Landscape definition only allows one system host name and because of that as soon as we execute an application say an SAP transaction iView our trace shows our backend hostname.

We’ve tried the recommended reverse proxy filter (web.xml) but no success.
