Internet Sales - B2C, B2B Scenario

Hi Gurus,

My company is implementing B2B/B2C scenarios in CRM(they dont currently have CRM). They are looking to change their payment card from a customized solution to a third party vendor with SAP. My question is to implement credit card functionality in the B2B/B2C scenario, what steps do i need to make sure it integrates well with R/3. The order fulfillment is done in R/3? Can you please provide some insight on how to solve this? ANy challenges I should be aware of?

Hi Mathew,

Integrating 3 rd party payment interfaces like paymetric, verisign with SAP CRM is a proven process. I have worked with these scenarios in couple of my project implementations.

You need to perform the necessary configuration steps in CRM and R/3. They are very much standard configurations. Also payment card interface to be there in place by the BASIS and infrastructure team. Specific payment vard vendor provide you all the necessary infrastructural requirements.

Initial B2B/B2C credit card authorization is carried out in CRM via the payment card interface. All subsequent re-authorizations during the order fulfillment are carried out in R/3 via R/3 payment card interface provided by the same vendor.

Off course, you will have some challenges in this implementation. Like installing crypto libraries for card data masking, authoriazation issues, split authorization issues, masking CVV values etc. You will find bunch of OSS notes to address these issues.
