Material # & Inforecord.

Hi All,

For e.g i have one material(PENCIL)

For this material can i maintain two info record's i.e Standard & Consignment ? These can be differentiated with the item category & Info Record no.in PO? Please correct me if iam wrong?

Hi Vineeth,

Yes. You can create different info record for the same material.

Based on the selection of item category in the PO screen will be controlled.

<u>Example:</u>

For normal standard PO (NB) without item category you will be having net price in the PO which is editable.

If you are using consignment item catergory for the the same material the net price will be having the value of 0 with non editable mode.Price will be picked from Info Record.

Not only that. If for pencils etc you don't want to maintain a material master record, you can still maintain inforecord by material group. You may use material group (say pencils and do your remaining procurement process. Great SAP! isn't it?

Yes, you can have different info record for standard and consignment for same combination of material, plant, pur org and vendor. For pipeline, u need to have a material type as pipeline.
