Hello PP Gurus,

I have a problem and hope that I will get the required solution for this:

1. We have a part say 'XYZ' which has a ”In house production time” of 35 days.

2. We have an a customer order request date 27/02/2008

3. MRP then suggests a planned order to meet the request date based upon the route time and not the ”In house production time” and this is where the problem lies, the route sheets shows a 2 week manufacturing time but in reality it takes 7 weeks to manufacture the part.

Note: We have 5 working days in a week.

So the question would be if we don’t want the planned order to reflect the route time how do we change this to automatically reflect the “In house Production Time” .

Thx in advance,

Rakesh

By Using Basic scheduling during MRP run, system will calculate dates via basic scheduling but when you convert this Planned orders to Production Orders, the system will calculate the Production Dates according to Lead time Scheduling.

My Question is when I am converting the Planned Orders to Production Orders, the system should consider the Basic dates(i.e., Inhouse Production Time etc) to calculate the Production Dates.

Hi

Here there two options:

If you want only inhouse production time given in material master you should select the scheduling option of basic dates in MRP control parameters.(1)

If you want routing timing to be taken you should select the lead time scheduling (2).

Pl. try this & award.

Hi Rakesh,

when create production order, lead time scheduling will be done as per the settings in OPU3 for plant/odre type combination.

The "scheduling indicator" decides production order scheduling(lead time or basic dates). since Production orders are scheduled at a detailed plning level using the routing . Therefore the Scheduling indicator is set automatically and cannot be changed.
