Sizing SAP Business Objects BI4 on SAP HEC

When sizing a new SAP Business Objects BI4 implementation on SAP HEC, do I just need to get the overall number of SAPS required for the overall solution, or do I need to review the requirements and look at implementing it onto a number of SAP HEC servers (to provide scale out for the best performance)?

If I was implementing it on a company's own set of servers, I would go through an involved sizing exercise, which would include looking at the usage requirements and making sure that the architecture (server type i.e. physical/virtual, network, storage type and configuration, etc.) was sufficient, including splitting the application into multiple servers (for a large implementation).

We have a rough sizing plan (number of SAPS required), from using an SAP Business Objects BI 4 Resource Usage Estimator, but the tool is generic (not intended for SAP HEC) and assumes that all of the BI4 components will be on one server.

If putting BW on HANA, go fro ABAP sizing report in the existing system and get size of master node and slave nodes.. infact if the size is relatively small the master node can accommodate the rest of the data as well. SAP is permitting BW on HANA to go on Scale-Up configuration now. Infact a french customer Valeo has chosen Scale-up BW on HANA for their requirement of 4 TB of BW on HANA. And SAP permitted this..
