BP - Differential Type - SAP Community

What is the functionality with an example of Differential Type field in BP Category.

Though the purpose is to differentiate BP with different parameter, request for a details step by step understanding of the same.

Dear Mr Fausto, Thanks. As said, I dont see any change in tab pages or its fields when I change the Diff Type. In the below given screen shots I had taken Diff Type as 0 and 2 to see the difference and how it will effect? But am not clear on the outcome.

Can I have a details understanding on it with configuration steps involved.
