Advise on MDM!

Hi Experts,

I have been working as ABAPer for the last 3 years, i am very much interested to learn MDM, is it right decision to go for MDM & what is the future for MDM Consultant.

I have BW knowledge also.

Please share your opinions.

Hi,

in your case I'd go for BW

why?

- there is lots and lots of BW work

- BW requires ABAP

- most companies (even small) will have BW - with MDM only very big

with MDM:

- not a lot of MDM projects (if compared to BW - very very little)

- mostly java and not ABAP

- you also need to learn XI

Hi Vishnu,

Long term MDM is good.Being the Abaper for 3 years you know table concepts and will help in MDM Modelling.
