Keep alive a delta queue in two systems SAP BW and SAP BW on Hana Migration

Hey Gurus,

I need to keep alive a delta queue in two different target systems, but one of then is a BW on hana migration of the other.

Is it posibble?

Hi Francisco,

This scenario is packaged by SAP under the name PCA (post copy automation). At one time in this scenario, you have 2 BW prod (one migrated to Hana) filled from the same sources.

You can handle this manually but you will have some difficulties:

• Some dataSources are not supported (see oss note 1932459),
• Intialization of the delta queues for the new BW can be tricky,
• File interfaces will need a special attention.

Hi,

I think doing a client copy will make the delta queue on your BW on Hana still working. Just be careful not to change the CLIENT name in your BW on Hana so that source system will still be the same so ECC will work as if it is still throwing data to your old BW.
