Hi gurus,

I noticed that on doing an export from dev and import into qa, i was not able to activate the imports as the parameters for server..etc in the communication channel were missing...is this routine.. or ..??

Any ideas...

Hi Venkat,

I think this is common. The parameters lost are supposed to change from DEV to QA. For example, the RFC parameters for DEV scenario points to ECC DEV - when the scenario goes to QA, the RFC parameters need to point to ECC QA, and XI does not keep them just to force us think about it

Venkat,

Robert is correct, the parameters which arent preserved in the cc are generally the server address, userid/pwd for connection in the case of ftp, just add them and you should be fine....

No worries mate...

Phani,

I dont think this client has anything like a formal transport implemented....i am referring to a very simple procedure..

1) export from dev...to standard //folder

2) ftp to qa server

3) import into dev...

Thats the issue i need help with as the communication channel parameters are not preserved......Any idea why ?
