Hello,

I could use some assistance with a formula. I have a complicated report that tracks the numbers of “Quality of Life” reports taken by officers in a given month, some of those crimes are “0” for a given month. I track the numbers on a rolling 6month period. For the months where there are none, the cross tab report will skip that month. Is there a way for it in either the chart, or cross tab report to show a zero and the month name versus just leaving it blank/skip it completely?

Tim

The problem you have is commonly found for Crystal Report generated Cross tab.

You need to create a manual cross tab, search for that on here and you will find numerous help doc

Here are a couple the first is the easiest but most time consuming, and is my preferred method. Not tried the second option

Hi Tim,

You'd need a lookup table (in the database) that has all the dates in the rolling 6 month period.

You'd then 'LEFT JOIN' this lookup table with the existing table ON the date fields.

The Crosstab's Row/Column (whichever uses the date field) would need to be replaced so that it uses the Date field from the Look-up table.

Also, wherever you use the Date field from the existing table, change it to use the Date field from the Lookup table. This includes Groups, Record Selection formula etc.
