SAP and company of manufacture of clothing

Hello all,

Please I have a question: I prepare specifications so as to integrate an ERP in a company of manufacture of clothing and I want to know whether SAP is appropriate to such industry?

and please if there is someone who had already worked in similar project, thank you to share your knowledge and help me to start this project.

Manufacturing clothing comes under SAP IS AFS Solution.

An Apparel & Footwear Solution (AFS) which is an SAP Customer Solution, created to enhance standard SAP components in order to meet the unique needs of the apparel and footwear industry. Its functionalities were incorporated into the world-class features of the SAP system. The result is a comprehensive solution for apparel and footwear industry catering to its specific logistic needs.

The AFS to SAP Retail interface is meant to facilitate the sharing of information between two complementary SAP systems.

In India, Aravind Mills implemented SAP IS AFS solution.

Hi, Not only Aravind Mills., AFS implemented Companies in India are Madura Garments, Raymonds, Page industries(Jockey India) recently and Sabre Holdings.
