Tab ordering in Top Level Navigation

Former Member

Hi guys,

I am working with EP 6.0, currently I have 4 roles:

Role 1, it has 4 tabs: a,b,c,d

Role 2, it has 1 tab: e,

Role 3, it has 1 tab: f,

Role 4, it has 1 tab: g.

(These tabs are on 1st level TLN)

When i add the 4 roles to 1 user, i logged in, the tabs order is not "abcdefg", but "abcdegf",

Any one knows how to control the ordering?

thanks a lot.

hi guys,

I tried your suggestions, but i did not work, I set sort priority to role1, role2, role3, rol4 in asccending order, but the tabs were still shown in same order as before.

Today I suddenly had an idea: why don't we set priorty to tabs directly?

so I tried tabs, and it works, although all 4 roles have same sorting priority 100.

It seems that system sets the sequece by sort priority of tabs rather than role.

so how you are setting the priority previously ?

Sort priority need to be set on the same level.

The PCD folder/workset/page/iView what ever you make as entry point that will appear in the top level.

So you need to set for that only.

any way, its done.

tnx for updating.

Cheers.

Hello

Ordering of Roles/worksets/iViews/Pages can be managed through the Property "Sort Priority".

Sort Priority ranging from 1 to 10 of the PCD objects has been used for the purpose of administrative task. So use between 10.X to 100

take all your Roles and pages. in the same level.

Assign the sort priority manually.

The item with the lowest value appears to the far left or the top, respectively, and the others follow in the order of their priorities.

make sure that you are assigning the sort priority in the same level.

hi Feng,

Role 3 might be having a lower sort priority.

change it back to 100(default priority)

This will probably solve the prob.

Hi,

Look in the Role properties, there you will find 'Sort Priority'. The lower the value, the higher the priority it gets.
