thank you guys for the replies. Well, why we may need so many plants? We are trying to setup a system to manage gas stations, and each gas station may be setup as a plant to better manage the storage tanks, pumps, etc in a station, and there may be as many as 30,000 stations, considering the growth. Any suggestions?

    Hello wangyuewu CCC

You can set up roughly 34^4 plants in SAP ERP i.e. 1.336.336 - plant code is a 4 char alphanumeric fields. Thus 24 letters + 10 digits (I'm not counting special characters here) to the power of 4 (the length of the field).

I guess that's more than enough.
