Urgent: Protect in Trasport Request

HI,

Wat is the purpose of <b>Protect</b> functionality for <b>transport requests</b>. In transaction SE10 if we select a modifiable request and right click on it <b>Protect</b> option is available. If we select that option a lock symbol is appearing for the request

    If you want only the owner of a request to be able to add more users, then you can protect the request.

    This is the use of <b>protect</b> functionality.

    By mistake I saved Transport as 'Proteced'. Now I want to change from "Protected" to "Modifiable". Please help me inthis.
